Homeschool, Who Me?

Each year most parents feel drawn to review their children's educational growth during the last school year. As they consider the child's progress, many seek alternative school choices for the upcoming year. Increasing numbers of parents have chosen homeschooling as a viable option for their family.

Because of this trend, PEACH member Terri Threadgill has developed a monthly meeting to share basic information with those families who are evaluating the concept of homeschooling. In her opinion, every family needs a strong support system in order to maximize the benefits of home education. Believing parents can successfully educate their children at home, she developed a short program to cover the basics of homeschooling. Think of it as Homeschooling 101.

You are invited to attend one these upcoming meetings which are sponsored by PEACH (Plano Education Association for Christian Homeschoolers - www.peachonline.org) and led by PEACH member Lynne Tomanek.

Many homeschooling families call Plano home and our support group, PEACH, hosts this monthly informational meeting to tell you more about homeschooling in a setting where you can hear the nitty-gritty of this life-changing school choice.
